Meet our Specialist Masha Banar, Board Certified Physician AssociateMasha Banar is Board Certified Physician Associate in the state of Massachusetts. She has over a decade of experience in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dermatologic Surgery, Dermatopathology, and Hair Transplantation. Graduate of Northeastern University PA Program she has gained her surgical qualifications at Boston Physician Associate or Physician Assistant (PA) is a medical provider with advanced surgical and clinical training and education. PAs must successfully complete graduate medical education program and on average completed at least seven years of formal education in addition to their clinical training. To be certified, PAs must have Masters degree from an accredited program, must have successfully completed a standard number of clinical hours in their specialty area of practice, and like Physicians must pass a written board exam. In addition PAs have to complete 100 hours of continuing medical education yearly and to re-take board exam every 5 years to maintain the certification. We make a differenceMasha is involved in an extensive research on face aging and HIV-related face wasting and often hosts informative seminars for physicians and patients. She has been published in the Journal of Dermatologic Surgery (including medical illustration). Her precise knowledge of anatomy and high aesthetic standards take the procedures she performs to an art form. Masha had undergone extensive training in hair transplantation, particularly follicular unit transplantation, and is very proud to offer this service in Boston area.
