Lipodissolve

Mesotherapy is a science of the aesthetic medical practice of using painless micro-injections to deliver active anti-aging substances, pharmaceutical medications, neuropeptides, essential vitamins, and minerals into the mesoderm layer of the skin.

It originated in France in 1950s and is extremely popular in Europe. Mesotherapy finally entered US in 1990s and is growing rapidly in popularity.

Lipodissolve is a cocktail of fat busting substances that is either injected or transfused in the skin using mesoporation technique. It utilizes several substances:
Phosphatidyl choline is a precursor of Acetylcholine. It is isolated from egg yolk and it breaks down triglycerides into amino acids. Sodium deoxycholate is naturally occurring hypoallergenic bile salt that helps rupturing the cells’ membranes. L-Carnitine is ammonium compound synthesized from amino-acids Lysine and Methionine. It is required in all living cells during fat lysis for transportation of fatty amino acids out of the cell through the mitochondria. Caffeine is also commonly used in Lipodissolve cocktails for increasing the metabolism of the cells.

Is it painful?

Injections are somewhat uncomfortable, but not painful. Discomfort after injections is pretty significant and can include swelling, soreness for several days, bruising, and itching.
It is possible to completely to eliminate pain with the help of the mesoporation patented European technology using a machine. Our office is the ONLY one in Boston that uses this technology to deliver results to our patients.

How many sessions would it take?

Are results permanent?

Just like liposuction Lipodissolve lyses (destroys) some fat cells completely. If you are to gain weight the remaining cells will still increase in size.

Is it safe?

All medications used in the cocktail are compounded in the US pharmacy and are FDA approved. They are hypoallergenic and most of them are naturally occurring in our bodies.

Is it expensive?

Lipodissolve is less expensive than liposuction. However, as opposed to surgery, mesotherapy results may vary and are not guaranteed.
